Hey Droogs and Diamonds,
Hugh Jackman has officially announced that Wolverine 3 would be his last film.
“This will be my last one,” Jackman said, point blank, when asked about it on the Dr. Oz show earlier today.
“It is my last time,” he continued. “It just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let’s be honest, 17 years. I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it.”
“I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.”
However, it hasn’t been confirmed whether he will make an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse. The next X-Men installment opens up before the third Wolverine film but he hasn’t been seen on set in Motreal so far.
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has been the most iconic role in the franchise since he first played Logan in the original X-Men. The character was even used as the through line to bring the original and prequel trilogies together in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
It would be so hard to find another actor to fill in his shoes as Wolverine.
I wish Hugh Jackman the best of luck in his future projects to come.
The Wolverine film is set to be released in 2017
Be kind, stay pretty
XOXO
fOLLOW ME ON
Hopefully he’ll go out with a bang! Sorry to hear it will be his last time though. 😦
