Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to my blog and I have another review!

Yes this time its Netflix series, The End of the f***ing world.

Rotten Tomatoes: 93%

This is based of a graphic novel by Charles Forsman

James is a 17-year-old who believes he is a psychopath. He kills animals as a hobby, but grows bored of the practice. He decides he wants  to try killing a human. He settles on Alyssa; a mouthy, rebellious 17-year-old classmate with issues of her own. She proposes they run away together, hoping for an adventure away from her turbulent home-life, and James agrees with the intention of finding an opportunity to kill her. They embark on a road trip across England, and begin to develop a relationship after a series of mishaps.

Before the second series was released on Netflix, Charlie Covell the writer of the series announced they will NOT be a third installment.

You gotta be f***ing kidding me?! Seriously?

I got so invested with this series and now there is no season three. Does James and Alyssa get married? Do they find themselves in another pickled that could eventually get them arrested?

I loved the fact it had an indie tone to this black comedy. We get to see these two protagonists on their journey and I couldn’t help but to care about them when they didn’t care about anything. It’s about a crime drama and a teen road trip, but above both things, it’s an ode to the tenderness and fragility of human connection. The opening of the show is diverse. I truly mean it. Unafraid to show James butchering animals and Alyssa purposely sabotaging every situation she finds herself in. Season One has 8 Episodes, and in each episode it’s 18-22 minutes long. It fantastic cast, great cinematography and editing. I want to empathize that this show is not for everyone, but it’s meant not to be for everyone.

Season Two gets interesting. It still have it’s dark humor but it doesn’t have the same energy as season one did. It is more explicit than the first and we get a little story on a certain character that we didn’t get as much in the first season. The Production overall was again amazing. From the cast to the editing. It’s oddly entertaining and I’m so sad we won’t be getting a season three but I’m happy with the overall ending of the series.
